Iventis is delighted to announce the appointment of Simon Johnson as a Director, with a brief towards growing the business in the major sports events sector.
As current Chair of the Rugby Football League and former COO of England’s bid to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup, Simon possesses extensive knowledge and expertise, particularly within the sports and leisure industry, that will be crucial to helping Iventis move their business to the next level.
Iventis is an innovative online platform, designed to make large-scale events planning easier and more efficient. The company was formed after founder, Joe Cusdin, who worked on major events such as the London 2012 Olympics, recognised the challenges faced by event organisers when managing and coordinating their complex and ever-changing operational plans. Its aim is to ensure that large teams can work together efficiently and effectively. The platform is multi-collaborative and ensures that everybody is aligned and informed of the latest plans, including external partners, stakeholders and suppliers.
Joe Cusdin, commented: “We are delighted to have Simon Johnson join our team. He brings a wealth of experience and industry knowledge which will help bring our innovative products and services to more of the world’s biggest events.”
Commenting on his appointment, Simon Johnson said: “I am extremely pleased to be working with Iventis and am very impressed with their software platform and what it can do. This is exactly the type of service I wish had existed when I was working on the England bid to host the Football World Cup in 2018, and I look forward to working with them to grow their business further”.
